There’s Magic For Everybody

Back in March of this year, I worked on the shoot of my dreams. Literally. It’s taken me so long to get this site off the ground that I haven’t been able to share all the beautiful images from it, but now I finally can!

A couple of years ago, I created a mood board for a potential project I pitched to a brand. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the job (hey, that’s life!), but the vibe of the shoot stuck with me. My dear photographer friend Em Scott and I decided it was time to bring it to life together without any strings attached. I had a strong idea of the look and feel I wanted from this dreamy and ethereal shoot and it was nice to have complete control over the results.

The inspiration came from my admiration for Sofia Coppola’s “Virgin Suicides,” “Lolita” and “Picnic at Hanging Rock.” These three films all have this soft, feminine aesthetic. The women are dreamers. Lost between their dreams and reality.

We worked with an amazing team to bring this to life. Florists Aubriana and Gena of Marigold were incredible and understood the concept right away.

We’re so happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to work together again.

She wore flowers in her hair and carried magic secrets in her eyes. She spoke to no one. She spent hours on the riverbank. She smoked cigarettes and had midnight swims.

Magic is not a practice. It is a living, breathing web of energy that, with our permission, can encase our every action.
